Dream meaning: Airplane

PlaneYou are “flying high” and whatever happens can reflect wishes/anxieties/progress regarding your life or professional progress, possibly your ability to “rise above it all” risk-taking abilities/attitudes. Are you the pilot, in charge but isolated from the rest of the group?

I keep having a dream where I’m at the airport with someone I know although in reality I have no clue who they are. It often involves me leaving UK to come home. When I board the plane finally its very elaborate not many passengers but many modern interior designs & ammenities (personal laptops larger windows to view outside etc) but the plane can never take off due to weather (wind or heavy rains) also electrical issues. Another thing is a cpl of the passengers are famous people? Lol! I actually like these dreams because they are very detailed and again the design of the plane is so unique.

I have a recurring dream where I am inside a large airplane trying to take off but it can’t. It leaves runway and dodges obstacles like electric poles, hills, buildings. I am a passenger and observe from the cockpit. Overall, feeling fearful, knowing we’re not going to live through this.

Had a dream last night that I was talking to my mother. We both looked up in the sky and saw a 747 airplane approaching lower and lower. It almost hit the top of my house then crashed a couple of blocks up. I immediately tried to call 911 but kept dialing the wrong numbers. When I finally dialed the right number, the woman that answered had an accent and she couldn’t understand what I was trying to tell her. Nothing else happened.

For the past year I have had a recurring dream where I miss my plane. I have it at least three times a week. I never schedule another flight, and I always end up alone in the terminal after I miss my flight. No one works there, no one else is waiting for any more planes, as if all the flights have left for good.

I have a repetitive dream over the years of a commercial airline I somehow know is going to crash. And then it does.
Sometimes I can’t figure out which way to run to get away from it to avoid getting hurt.

I have a recurring dream in which I am in an airplane that is flying, but is flying so low to the ground that it usually just comes to a rest on the ground. It flys along roads, under bridges like being in a car.

When I was a child, I remember a recurring dream where I would sit in a chair and flap my arms like a bird and fly.

I am a Freudian trained psychologist, so I am interpreting from that perspective. Airplanes can symbolize the male erection, so dreams involving airplane crashes can symbolize anxieties involving male erectile problems.
