Water in a dream most often symbolizes emotion, mood, or feelings of vitality. The feeling or action of the water as well as how we relate to it in the dream can also represent how we relate to the emotion that has triggered the dream. For example one can have the feeling of drowning in emotions, or float pleasantly on the surface. The emotions symbolized by water maybe unconscious , hence something like a wave can symbolize incoming emotions. A flood or huge wave can represent a rise in unconscious energy or overwhelming emotions.
If the water seems sinister or dangerous, that again may tell you something about your being uncomfortable with your feelings or that you have been repressing them.
Entering water by jumping or wading in slowly may represent your entry into a new relationship, job, or other social situation.
The clearness or muddy-ness of the water in your dream might be telling you something about how secure or sure/unsure you are about entering into something new.

I had a dream last night. I was in a large river, both of the banks where about 1km from me on either side. The middle of the river was populated with thin wooden platforms about two metres wide and just thin enough to stand on but I was not alone.
With me where two others, I knew both as friends but they only existed in the dream. I kept swimming from platform to platform through the muddy water and as I stood up the boy leading me began to speak.
“There’s a shadow in the water…”
As I looked closer I saw the shape of something moving.
“Hollow!… Hollow!!!” The boy screamed.
I saw a violent jerk then he disappeared into the water below. The water was still for a moment but I began to see something moving.
A small black figure of a man more a shadow then anything else about the same size as a small dog came close to the surface an arms reach from my leg but went back down again.
I woke up after that. Pretty much scared the hell outta me.

I dreamed of water in a big pool. I am a person who is afraid in deep wide waters, but in my dream I jumped into the water pool. I felt confident to swim in different strokes, even knowing the pool was deep and so big. There are some people also swimming, but I really tried to finish it until the end of the pool. When I reached the end I felt very proud that I was there with few people who just finished also.

I had a dream of muddy water rolling near me and my father but never touching our feet. Its waves were so big that it made me scared the whole of my life. But at the end, I am wondering why we were not swept away.

I had a dream that in my backyard people were pulling out wolves who were about to drown, about 7-10 of them. My friends then attempted to clean the pool out but I had to instruct them how to do it correctly, as they were cleaning it with the dirty water still in the pool. Another time I dreamt that in my backyard once again the water was almost black filthy with dead horses in it. Why do I keep having these almost-dead/dead animals in my dirty pool dreams?

I put this under fish too but I was walking on water and then across coral barefoot only to take some small very beautiful and colourful fish out of small pools in the rocks they were trapped in… afterwards I walked back on the water out into the ocean in the sunset… p.s. I’m atheist, don’t believe in Jesus or miracles of any kind, never have even when I had this dream as a child. My other dream was going into a cave sword fighting with Jesus then coming out on top of a mountain enlightened and in awe. and Jesus was there not as my savior but as a bother or friend…

I had a dream that I was drowning in a submerged boat. Then I woke up and realized that there were a man and a baby underwater with me. I crawled to the surface and got some air, then I saved the baby and the man. I chided the man for falling asleep and nursed the baby back to health.

I dreamt that I was pregnant and my teeth were coming out and the bottom of my mouth was swollen and after my front row of bottom teeth came out continuously water just started spewing out of my mouth and it wouldn’t stop. That dream was very eerie. What could that mean?

i dreamt that i was in water, it was crystal clear with a slight flowing current (nothing too major) my 17 month year old son was with me, (roundabout now is where it gets wierd) hes on a tube, (what they use for rapids) drifting off ahead of me (but not too far ahead like an arm reach away) i notice the current had picked up, the water was still clear, before i know what is happening my son is a metre away from me. as i go to rescue my son the water started rising up my body preventing me from gettin to my son. by now im gettin really frustrated an emotion cause i cant get to him. he tips off the tube (by then the so called ‘current’ has turned into rapids) and my son is swallowing water. by this time im feeling rage, my blood is boiling so bad that this is the energy i use to get to my son. i evenually got there. Thats when i woke up, i didn’t stay asleep long enough to see the outcome.

I dreamed I was cycling through a flood water across a bridge where I can’t even see the structure of the bridge. My cousin was with me in this dream and at the same time I dreamed of my dad asking me to drive his van across the same bridge.

I had dream about somebody putting water on the bed, and the bed was very wet, and the person that was making the bed wet I think it was him… I told my husband and he told me that he had the same dream but he wasn’t sure about whether it was water, but something was on the bed that was keeping the bed wet…. It is weird but I would like to know what it means.

I dreamt that I was with another me, hiding under clear water, when he body of a woman floated above us. We tried to help her to safety, but were chased by groups of people.

I dreamt that I was kissing someone but I was blinded. It felt right to do this. I was surrounded by the sea and it was a happy occasion but I could not open my eyes to see who I was kissing. It was like he worked with or near water.
