I dreamed last night that my father was trying to capture me and put me in metal shackles. Everywhere I hid, he found me. He wouldn’t tell me why he was doing this. It felt very foreign to me.

My Dad passed Thanksgiving morning of 2011. I just had a dream that I was in some sort of clinic about to be put on a respirator. There was a mother and her teen children in the room with me. The dream then switched to my father lying in bed on the respirator and I was breathing into a device over his mouth as though I was helping him to breathe. I noticed that the nose piece was not in his nose and I pushed it in when he came to life. I began calling for a nurse and then I awakened. I have no idea what this all meant, but I am thinking it means that I am grieving his passing and subconciously wish I could bring him back to life……????

My father died 1 year ago. I had a dream last night that I came back home and I saw him sitting with my mother and other people and he was looking and laughing at me. & then they tell me that he wasn’t dead, he was just hiding somewhere and we thought he was dead. I hugged him and I was crying. I asked them then who was the dead person inside the coffin but no one answered. And then I saw my father and I alone inside a room and we were hugging and he was kissing me on my neck. I didn’t understand why he is doing it but I did the same and it was kind of sexual! It was so weird and I woke up a bit disturbed. I would like to understand what that all means.

Last night I dreamed I had a loving talk with my deceased father. I asked him about his relationship with his own father. We were touching in the dream with him leaning on me and my arm leaning on him. I was doing most of the talking saying I remember a few instances when he actually did refer to the relationship when he was alive. Something different though, in the dream he had a large tattoo on his back and he was heavier than when he was alive.

I haven’t spoken to my dad in over 7 years. The other night, I had a dream about going back to my childhood home. I was with my boyfriend and suddenly we hear someone opening the front door. Without thinking, I knew it was my father. I was scared, but instead of hiding, I went to the kitchen and said hi to him and proceeded to hug him. He looked horrible – like a cancer patient – really skinny, paled, and ill looking. I told him that I am no longer a child and that if he wants me to be a part of his life he will need to stop butting in and just accept me for who I am.

Last night I had a dream that I was at my house, and my father and step mother were getting ready to leave to go somewhere. I had a hard time making up my mind on whether or not I wanted to go. I eventually didn’t go, and they left me, and I got mad because I really did wanna go, so I called up my father and cursed him out. He then told me that since I am 18, I should go ahead and kill myself. This was a wierd and scary dream. I have a great relationship with my father.
