Dream meaning: Fox

FoxFolklore foxes are often portrayed as clever, trickster figures, so a dream fox may represent the cunning, sly as a fox aspect of you or another. A reddish fox may represent a redheaded person in your life, especially one who also has foxy or sexy attributes, or your own desire to be foxy. Is there a situation in your life in which you need to be resourceful (smart as fox)?

If your association is that of a fox hunt, or being chased, it may represent competition, especially at work; a situation in which someone is after your position, or in which you have to stay ahead of the game. Is there some situation or relationship in which: you have to run for your life; your emotional or physical life is being threatened; you feel like you are being pursued relentlessly without regard to your feelings?

I had a dream where I was near the wood like on a farm and I came out of the house and there, standing still was a red fox, non-threating but I was very still, staring. Next day, I was driving and telling my ex husband about my dream and all of sudden. A red fox crossed the road. We both looked at each and screamed. We could not believe it. What does that mean?

I had a dream I was walking at a fast pace through the woods and had to be somewhere. A small baby red fox caught my eye and I stopped to see what it would do. It jumped into my arms and I felt like I wanted to take it with me. I was happy but felt rushed in the dream like I had to be somewhere and shouldn’t be wasting time petting and holding the baby fox. So I put it down and continued on my way. I very rarely remember my dreams when I wake. This one I remembered and struck me as odd.

I had a dream where I was walking with my Mom by a park, late at night. Then we see a figure in the park. Takes a little while to see, but we end up noticing it’s a fox. But the fox just sits there and stares. Then a wolf starts walking out from the park but harmlessly with ease.

I had a dream that I was driving down this road in the fog with my mom in my car. I came to a stop when I saw this red fox, dead on the side of the road. I got out and proceeded to take pictures of it. Its face was so red and perfect. After a minute, it started to wake up like it was never dead. I was astonished by it doing that, that I kept taking pictures of it. Photography is a big part of my life, and to see that was beautiful. So I got back into the car and drove away happy.

I had a dream that I was being chased by a pack of red foxes. Then I escaped and watched from the top of a building as others were chased by the foxes. What does this dream mean?

My dream which is turning into a reoccurring nightmare starts off with nothing particularly scary to the eye but the emotions were of fear and terror and sheer panic, as the red fox walked past me in my dream it almost glowed like fire, and every time I saw it I would be utterly terrified, to the point that I wanted to scream but couldn’t. This is the point when I wake up and the emotions are still quite intense.

I had a dream that my 3 year old daughter was standing in the garden of the house I grew up in. I was standing inside behind a glass window. My girl was approached by a red fox and a baby fox, 2 large dogs and a man. I couldn’t tell if the fox was friendly they approached and the fix growled a bit, I was fearful but couldn’t get to my child quickly enough, I was frightened. The man was also scared and produced a bottle of milk for my daugter but she didn’t want it. No one was hurt -I woke up. Recently I’ve had a nanny for my children due to I’ll health and I’m having trust / resentment issues. Wonder if this dream is symbolic?!

Had a dream that I brought a fox into my home late at night. Kept it and looked after it, feeding it and providing it with milk. It stayed in my bedroom. Then it left behind it’s excrement which smelt bad so I put it out to stay in the garden. I was in control of it the whole time in the dream and it accepted it’s fate.

I dreamed I was driving in my underwear in a rush to my training appt., putting on clothes while driving. I didn`t realize that I drove into the park near my house. An old friend was there, and a red fox. I was afraid of the fox cuz it didn’t seem to like me and I didn’t like going near it – it was intimidating. My friend was ok with it. This friend happens to be a master of illusions in dealing with people and life. I was trying to walk around it the fox, cuz it was up on this wooden scaffold with me. But when my friend left, the fox became friendlier, but I was still somewhat wary. Then the fox said something I wish I could remember.

We were living at the beach, and inside our house was a tiger and a white fox. At first I felt this was strange, but shrugged it off because “everyone else seemed fine with their presence, they must be pets.” So then the white fox took to me as a friend, as a loving dog comes to his owner. Then the fox spoke to me, and I talked back. I kept talking, and we have a full on conversation – I asked him if the tiger talked, he said “yes.” But I couldn’t hear the tiger, only the fox. The tiger was distant, and I felt as though he might be aggressive, or have the possibility of aggression, although he was calm. At first, I thought it was weird that I was talking to a fox, but since he was talking too I thought everyone could hear him – we left the house, everyone was leaving and loading up in the van. I was the last one out of the house because I was still talking to the fox. When my friend asked why I was talking to the fox, I asked her “didn’t you hear the fox too?” She said, “no.” And I laughed to myself because I must have seemed foolish having a full on conversation with the white fox.

what do I make of that?

I dreamt that I was bitten on the hand by a red miniature fox. The wound gushed blood, and was seemingly much worse than it should have been.

I had a dream where I was driving and passed a fox standing on the side of the road. I turned the car around to go back and find it but when I got there it was gone. The next scene changed to me holding and petting a fox puppy, after that I woke up.
