Dream meaning: Beaver

Beaver in a dream can mean that you are overextending yourself or that you have not been busy enought and need to get down to business. As a water animal, the beaver is especially symbolic of the workings of the unconscious. It can symbolize a damming up of emotions. Maybe the dream is suggesting need for attitude of being eager as a beaver. In some stories from various mythologies the beaver is often associated with the trickster figures.

I was working at a store and I had to close the store. But for some reason no one would close so customers kept comong in one by one. I noticed my boyfriend, cashier, and security being there. Eventually I was able to close. I was walking home with security and boyfriend when my boyfriend walked by a beaver. I told him, and the beaver proceeded to chase me. I screamed and then awoke. What can this mean?

Dreamed that I was about in a garden environment first, since it was a more natural environment (light woods.) I saw an animal that had gotten a scent of me, thought at first it was a badger, and was frightened that it would bite me, knowing a badger wouldn’t let go before my bones would break. Then I noticed that it was a white animal, and thought it might be a Frit (marten) and was no longer frightened. When I came really close to the animal I recognized it was in fact a White Beaver and we joined company. I then found my self sitting on a kitchen table with the beaver, talking (don’t remember about what) But the kitchen was flooded with water up to just about the counter top. The water was a dark water (not fearful) and full of logs floating around. I was getting ready to get up and leave, as conversation had ended. But when I wanted to stand up and get into the water I recognized that I was wearing the beaver on my feet (wasn’t dead) and I thought it wouldn’t be right to stand up with it on my feet, so I wanted to take it off (like shoes.) Doing so my whole foot and ankle came off (not painful) Now I could move on!
