Blizzak, I’ve had very similar dreams. I’ll often be in a situation where, as you said, I know somebody means to do me harm, and I have a gun to defend myself, but almost every time the gun is totally ineffectual. I’ll shoot it at the attacker but it does no or very little harm, nor does it make any real sound or recoil at all, leaving me to have to try and run away. Ultimately, the dream ends with no conclusion.

When I was little I had a reoccurring dream that I was sitting in the waiting room for the hairdresser. I was in between my mom and a really scary guy in a leather vest. The guy pulled out a gun and my mom told me to do what he said to. I tried to wrestle the gun out of his hand but he pushed me off and shot my dad who until then I wouldn’t see. I would wake up crying.

I had a dream that my boyfriend was arguing with some guy in the club and I was scared to break it up so I walked outside of the club. I heard gun shots and walked back in to see my bf falling to the floor drenched in blood. I dropped to my knees and started crying, saying “Don’t die. I love you. Don’t die.” What does that mean?

In this dream, I was in a hall after a party and heard 3 gunshots from the bar adjoined to the hall. Being told to get out asap by the people I was with, I opened a door but this was going to lead back to the bar so closed it again. Was told by barman that two men were dead..one shot in head and other two in the chest. We then went along a corridor to get out the building………….then I woke up

I dreamt that I was in the housing projects, and I had a business in there that got robbed, then the guys of the projects called themselves protectors of the people in the projects and pulled a gun out on me. Some other guys told them to leave me alone. Then these 3 Italian mafia guys came around and asked me who they were and then I woke up with a headache

I have had a reoccurring dream for a long time. The place and time change but the general idea is that there are “bad people†chasing me. I don’t know who they are or why, but I just “know†or “feel†that they are trying to hurt or capture me. Usually I am able to procure a gun but more often than not the weapon malfunctions. On occasion I have been able to press the weapon against a body part (head for example) of one of my pursuers and he gets killed, but there is no report, blood, or feeling of having discharged the weapon. It’s like it kills on contact. On those occasions I am empowered a little more. As opposed to the times where the gun is useless and I am left scrambling, trying to run away.
More often than not, the dream ends on an unresolved note, without a clear resolution. I don’t ever fully escape and/or feel safe, it’s just over for now.

I had a dream that I was shot in the head once and a few times in the body. I then had an out of body experience where I went to a party where youth and families I worked with were celebrating my death. I walked around the party and my father was there (deceased one year ago) and he was socializing and having a fun time with the others. I was walking around and I walked through one of my aunts and she could feel my presence. I then began to breath and I saw a regulator in a hospital that was keeping me alive and I was beginning to come back to life. Soon after the people at the party were able to see me. I left the party and I was outside and soon after I woke up.
To add something, I remember that I was playing basketball with the people I knew right before I was shot. Once I was shot the person who shot me began to drill a hole in my head and that is how I escaped my body. While he was drilling in my head I began to see a bright light. I was also screaming to have the person not drill in my head and no one could hear me.
