If you are running in your dream, in order to interpret you need to consider are you running away from someone or something, or are you just running like jogging. Normal running means you are on the right road. If you have difficulty running it can mean helplessness, being held back by negative feelings, feeling rundown or out of steam.
Running away can be related to avoidance; issues of responsibility; guilt; new strength to avoid what is negative for you. If you are pursued see pursued.
Running toward some person or object may refer to ambitions or goals; willingness to undertake responsibility; a positive attitude. If a negative goal or situation it may refer to situations such as addictive or codependent ones, to which you are inevitably drawn even though the results may be disastrous. Has someone you depend on recently run out on you?

I have this dream of running but I’m not the one being chased…
I think I’m chasing someone and while I’m running I can jump over cars and other vehicles.
what could that mean?
Thanks!

I dreamed that I saw my ex-boyfriend running and it appears that I was on my way to meet him and he was running to meet up with me.

Just had my very first running dream last night. Surprisingly I have never had one before; not even in middle school when all I did was try to run away from my problems. This dream though, was running towards something. I could feel myself pushing to get there. Feeling the sweat run down my body. My muscles tightening. Being more and more eager to get there with every step.
It was all outside in nature in very familiar areas I have visited along the West Coastline of America. Here and there would be a close friend of mine waving hi. Then there would be my boyfriend, motivating me to go even further.
When I awoke from it, I had just recalled running to something with great need. I was worried it were to be from reason, but it was not. Reading more on what types of running dreams there are then typing this out gives me great ease. Thank you.

I dreamed of running indoors on a track. It was snowing & there were snow drifts in the gym. I made it through, but was exhausted.

In this dream my ex from 20yrs ago is holding my hand and I feel safe. Then he has on a long coat (like in cowboy movies) and puts on huge shoes and he got smaller in height and I was on the top floor and could see him on the bottom running away with the coat dragging the floor. Not scary but what the heck? I’m friends with my ex but don’t think of him in romantic way… Any ideas?

I always have the same dream over and over..It’s like this for a year now. I keep running away from something & I’m always really scared and crying. But I can’t run fast. It’s like I really want to run but my legs just keep moving very slowly! I hate this dream. I just don’t understand why I keep dreaming this over and over.

I dreamed that I was at school and I was running around (theres a building and I’m running around it) with my friend. I don’t know what I was running to, I was just running and hearing people talking and seeing people smiling in a blur. It was quick.

I had a running dream last night. I’m not sure if I was running from something or to something. I remember being in my house with a bunch of people around me. All of sudden I asked to go outside and I just started running. But I felt restricted like it was hard to run but I kept trying to push. I felt kind of scared like I just needed to get away. I came to a place and someone was there, a boy. He held me and made me feel safe like I didn’t want to leave his arms. This dream kind of freaked me out and I don’t understand what it’s about. Just thought I’d share.

I had this dream where there was a bomb exploding and everyone was running to safety and I was trying to run my fastest and in real life I’m usually faster than everyone else. But in my dream everyone was running past me and I felt as if I was in slow motion.

I have these dreams, that I’m running toward something, and also away from something really bad at the same time. I’m running to get help. but when i try to run, it feels as though I’m weightless. like I can’t get the rhythm of it, so I usually end up going on all fours holding onto the grass to propel myself.
