A painting can represent emotions more safely expressed or contained, which you may of course buy as your own. If you are the artist the painting can symbolize self expression; creative abilities; feelings or anxieties about being judged.
Are you hung up in some relationship or expression of yourself? Depending on what or how you are painting or something is painted it may be a cover up; express a need to get rid of outdated or unacceptable ideas or attitudes; refer to spicing up an old relationship. Perhaps you have a need to paint a rosy picture?

Every night I dream of flying, sometimes low when I’m feeling down…but when I put more love and energy into my effort into my dream, I can soar extremely high. In that dream, everybody I encounter is amazed on how I can fly…they ask and want to know how they can too. It basically represents my spiritual growth and letting go of an old troubling relationship, and how I can help others grow as well.
