Dream meaning: Horse

HorseHorsepower is energy or power. A horse often represents our instinctual side; animal or sexual impulses arising from the lower part of the body; sexual libido or energy; male prowess; the ability to be fleet or swift; the daily grind or horse race. Perhaps you have been feeling like a workhorse or been working like a horse.
Riding a horse can symbolize sex, and masturbation. Or it may symbolize properly channeled or controlled instincts. The horse or rider together can symbolize the relationship or workings of the psyche and the unconscious horse. In Greek mythology, horses had the ability to heal, or ward off evil.

If you dream of seeing or riding a white horse, the indications are favorable for prosperity and pleasurable commingling with congenial friends and fair women. If the white horse is soiled and lean, your confidence will be betrayed by a jealous friend or a woman. If the horse is black, you will be successful in your fortune, but you will practice deception, and will be guilty of assignations. To a woman, this dream denotes that her husband is unfaithful.

To dream of dark horses, signifies prosperous conditions, but a large amount of discontent. Fleeting pleasures usually follow this dream.

To see yourself riding a fine bay horse, denotes a rise in fortune and gratification of passion. For a woman, it foretells a yielding to importunate advances. She will enjoy material things.

To ride or see passing horses, denotes ease and comfort.

To ride a runaway horse, your interests will be injured by the folly of a friend or employer.

To see a horse running away with others, denotes that you will hear of the illness of friends.

To see fine stallions, is a sign of success and high living, and undue passion will master you.

To see brood mares, denotes congeniality and absence of jealousy between the married and sweethearts.

To ride a horse to ford a stream, you will soon experience some good fortune and will enjoy rich pleasures. If the stream is unsettled or murky, anticipated joys will be somewhat disappointing.

To swim on a horse’s back through a clear and beautiful stream of water, your conception of passionate bliss will be swiftly realized. To a business man, this dream portends great gain.

To see a wounded horse, foretells the trouble of friends.

To dream of a dead horse, signifies disappointments of various kinds.

To dream of riding a horse that bucks, denotes that your desires will be difficult of consummation. To dream that he throws you, you will have a strong rival, and your business will suffer slightly through competition.

To dream that a horse kicks you, you will be repulsed by one you love. Your fortune will be embarrassed by ill health.

To dream of catching a horse to bridle and saddle, or harness it, you will see a great improvement in business of all kinds, and people of all callings will prosper. If you fail to catch it, fortune will play you false.

To see spotted horses, foretells that various enterprises will bring you profit.

To dream of having a horse shod, your success is assured. For a woman, this dream omens a good and faithful husband.

To dream that you shoe a horse, denotes that you will endeavor to and perhaps make doubtful property your own.

To dream of race horses, denotes that you will be surfeited with fast living, but to the farmer this dream denotes prosperity.

To dream that you ride a horse in a race, you will be prosperous and enjoy life.

To dream of killing a horse, you will injure your friends through selfishness.

To mount a horse bareback, you will gain wealth and ease by hard struggles.

To ride bareback in company with men, you will have honest people to aid you, and your success will be merited. If in company with women, your desires will be loose, and your prosperity will not be so abundant as might be if women did not fill your heart.

To curry a horse, your business interests will not be neglected for frivolous pleasures.

To dream of trimming a horse’s mane, or tail, denotes that you will be a good financier or farmer. Literary people will be painstaking in their work and others will look after their interest with solicitude.

To dream of horses, you will amass wealth and enjoy life to its fullest extent.

To see horses pulling vehicles, denotes wealth with some incumbrance, and love will find obstacles.

If you are riding up a hill and the horse falls but you gain the top, you will win fortune, though you will have to struggle against enemies and jealousy. If both the horse and you get to the top, your rise will be phenomenal, but substantial.

For a young girl to dream that she rides a black horse, denotes that she should be dealt with by wise authority. Some wishes will be gratified at an unexpected time. Black in horses, signifies postponements in anticipations.

To see a horse with a tender foot, denotes that some unexpected unpleasantness will insinuate itself into your otherwise propitious state.

If you attempt to fit a broken shoe which is too small for the horse’s foot, you will be charged with making fraudulent deals with unsuspecting parties.

To ride a horse down hill, your affairs will undoubtedly disappoint you. For a young woman to dream that a friend rides behind her on a horse, denotes that she will be foremost in the favors of many prominent and successful men. If she was frightened, she is likely to stir up jealous sensations. If after she alights from the horse it turns into a pig, she will carelessly pass by honorable offers of marriage, preferring freedom until her chances of a desirable marriage are lost. If afterward she sees the pig sliding gracefully along the telegraph wire, she will by intriguing advance her position,

For a young woman to dream that she is riding a white horse up and down hill, often looking back and seeing some one on a black horse, pursuing her, denotes she will have a mixed season of success and sorrow, but through it all a relentless enemy is working to overshadow her with gloom and disappointment.

To see a horse in human flesh, descending on a hammock through the air, and as it nears your house is metamorphosed into a man, and he approaches your door and throws something at you which seems to be rubber but turns into great bees, denotes miscarriage of hopes and useless endeavors to regain lost valuables. To see animals in human flesh, signifies great advancement to the dreamer, and new friends will be made by modest wearing of well-earned honors. If the human flesh appears diseased or freckled, the miscarriage of well-laid plans is denoted.

Not realizing an alligator was behind me, and when i realized, that’s when the horse bit a tight rope which was tied in the alligator..and carried it. It indicated me that I’m safe. I dreamed that I saw a flatbed trailer piled up with dead and dying small (normal) horses, and a Pinto was still alive barely. And when I approached the trailer to see if I could help them a larger darker horse came out of nowhere and ran me off.

I have this reoccuring dream where there are two long haired skinny horses that I tend to but everyone keeps telling me to put them down. I say that I cant & won’t because they don’t look like much but they are good horses. A terrible storm comes & the city is flooding I mount one horse & the other follows. The water is high yet we never sink. We go through the city pulling others up that are sinking. We pull houses, cars, & people. The storm clears & I’m back to tending to my horses. People hear about them & travel just to see them. Some come & dont believe that these skinny horses did so much. What does this mean?

Lastnight I had a dream that I was with a male friend(Sam Winchester from supernatural) in the park I had a little dog with me that was mine (I don’t own a dog) when a girl rode up on a fawn colored horse I apparently knew her and hadn’t seen her in a bit so I left Sam and the dog and rode off with her but we were riding backwards and had gone farther then I thought we had BC the ride was smooth we met up with Dean at a little shop down town he said Sam was pissed and then Sam showed up but the girl was gone. Sam and I left The End. The part about riding the horse backwards is what stood out and what I would like to know about.

dream- a black horse with its rider -a real beautiful horse and rider is a professional- came running on a plain bare area of some mountainous region some areas with black soil some snow clad.. probably summer… beautiful colourful flowers- he comes running and goes straight up an extremely narrow cliff and stops exactly at its edge , goes on two hind legs and neighs as if declaring its superiority to the beautiful large valley infront and then carefully climbs down back from the cliff gracefully indeed…… i am relaxing on the plain watching all this in sheer awe….is there anything significant here for me?

I dreamed last night of being in a race horse stable. My job was to tame this very young horse who was always crazy. Once I tamed him, he could be my own. Meanwhile, there was a girl with a horse with no front legs. She didn’t care (the horse) about not having front legs, she still wanted to race. I agreed to help her win the race any way I could, but was told by the stable owners that if I did that, they would take my own crazy horse away from me. Since my mother-in-law is a real horse person, I asked her for help. This was the end. What does this mean?

last nite i dreamt i saw some horses running and climbing to the top of what seem like mountains in my back yard. they were black and one was a nice gold color, big and beautiful looking..i counted as 4 climbed up safely and held my breath as the 5th one got to the top of the mountain but as he turned to steddy himself his foot slipped and he fell over the edge and I never saw him again. (A friend but not someone I see or speak to often) called right after to ask if I had seen his 6 horses and I said yes, I say 4 of them climbed safely to the top of the mountain and one fell off the mountain and the other I dont know what happened to him, dont know where he dissappeard to. He an his wife came to see me just after the phone call to talk to me about their horses, apparantly they ran away and ended up in my back yard and they wanted to know what I had happened to them.. Am curious to know what does this all mean?

I had a dream last night me and about four other people were preparing to go for a horse ride. Everyone had to trot and gallop on their horse but I was the only one with two horses. Could this have anything to with the fact that I currently manage one store but will be taking on another store as well as my current one in the next week?

I dreamed my little grandson was riding slumped on a very slow, tired looking black pony. What does this mean?

  • Sal // Oct 20, 2012 at 9:10 am

Ok so background first - i do actually own horses so at first this dream wasn’t unusual. But when i woke after the dream i started crying so that got me thinking.
the dream - This old palomino horse that I used to own (he was my first horse in fact) was in my dream and in this dream was extremely skinny like the kind you see in animal abuse cases. I went over to him because I was trying to move him away from two new bay horses that were being unloaded from a horse trailer. He fell down and I glanced across the street for someone to help me get him up but I saw a dead black horse that was as skinny as the palomino. I turn back to the palomino and he’s struggling to get up so I help him. He’s teetering but he gets his balance and walks away. That’s when I wake up.

I dreamt that I was in a field with lots of people sitting around. There were lots of birds of prey flying about and then a man with a horse appeared, dressed as a bird of prey. He asked me to lay face down on the grass which I did, cheered on by the people. He then told me the horse was going to walk across my back. The horse one hoof at a time, gently stepped onto my back and after standing there for a while got off. It hurt a little at first but I was unharmed and everyone clapped and cheered! I’ve no idea what this dream means, any clues?

I had a dream of a horse that was trapped in a room filled with old things. He was basically stuck in the room because there were so many things stacking all the way to the ceiling. It seemed to be the upper floor of the house where i live right now. In my dream I came home in a rush and I saw a man that was with some crazy truck that had something that allowed him to pull out big things. This is the first time I saw the horse in my dream. It looked very tired and sick from being in the stuffed room. The man started pulling the horse out of the room with the pulling thing, and at first I felt relieved that the horse will be out, but when he pulled the horse it started screaming because it was hurting from the pulling machine. When it was out it no longer had any skin on it. I could only see the muscle. It made a strange connection with me by looking at me and it went away by pulling the mans truck. I have never dreamed of a horse before, so for me this is very strange.

My family and I went to a horse stable. This creepy old man was talking to me and said what grade are u in and I said 6th. Then I ran to my family. We came to these horse stalls. I was gonna pet a foal but the mare charged at me. Then me and my uncle’s girlfriend were going to a cross-country race. I was in the back seat and I saw a small blue tornado in the sky. What does this dream mean

I was sitting on a wooden bench, in the countryside, with other people. It was like a feast. There was my ex- English Teacher among other people. I suddenly saw a young horse galloping through the field. I assumed that it belonged to one or some of the people there. The image was very nice.
I love horses but do not have the opportunity to be close to them.
    Thank you

I walked into my driveway and saw a very weak horse fully saddle and bridled. I walked to the horse and told the horse that he needed refreshments and electrolytes. The horse asked me back if this was the right thing. As the horse spoke to me he agreed to drink it. Almost immediately his strength improved and he became a strong force - tall, strong, and proud. Then suddenly I saw someone riding the horse towards a river and something picked up the rider and horse like a crane from the sky and put both rider and horse in the river. I then saw both starting to swim. The rider to me and the horse across the river. The rider reached me and when I looked back I could not find the horse and awoke. What could this dream mean?

I had a dream that a friend of mine I knew would never own a horse owned a horse and bought another one too. I told the first one that we were still going to love it. My friend agreed. Then my friend disappeared, (you know how in dreams someone’s there and then isn’t) and I turned my head for whatever reason. When I turned back, the horse that had been reddish-brown was now white and was turning away from me. What does this mean?

I had a dream last night that I lived in a new home which was more like beach house. My little sister, my mother & I were both standing at a window which gave us an excellent view of the blue skies, wand sand & beautiful beach. Then suddenly, a man was running like crazy as if his life depended on it. Then it was then that we saw a Gigantic Brown Horse. It was not running but walking slowly out of the beach, but the way he came out so quickly seemed as though he was running. Then when he came on land I had a closer glimpse of the Gigantic Brown Horse. I felt the shakes of fear coming off from my family who stood next to me. As the Gigantic Brown Horse walked past our home I looked into its eye while it peered into mine. The animal didnt seem like it was going to harm but more like he was in fear of being harmed as he made his was to a branch of green leaves then he started to consume the leaves in the same motion like a Goat does. It was then somehow I was no longer in my house but I was now outdoors closer to the animal. I heard the voices of other men talking to the animal & one man said that they thought the Horse Goat did not understand how to use his body after they noticed his excretion looked exactly like a goats deficate does. Then another man said I think it was two persons who has been cursed into this animal. Sadly the Gigantic Horse looked up angrily & started to motion himself into a running pose I noticed his excretion still stuck on his behind then he ran off.
I woke up pacing & panicing & scared as ever. I’m not sure if this is a good dream & bad one. I wish I could understand the meaning behind this dream…. It would seem less odd, mayb the meaning behind my dream is odd… But I’d like to understand, I still can see the Gigantic Horse vividly everytime I thnk, I see him walking slowly but moving fast out of the water… Odd huh?

I dreamt I was riding a brown beautiful house around the city and saw dangerous people with weapons fighting but I was unseen by them because I was on a horse. My best friend, my sister, and mother were with me. Then I returned the horse to the stable and both his front feet were swollen because I was too heavy for it lol.

  • Kristoff // Sep 27, 2011 at 9:33 am

I had a dream that I was lying in green grass with a horse and the horse was spooning me. The horse would not let go of me no matter how hard I tried to get away. I did not fear the horse and it made me feel extremely relaxed and calm however, something was trying to get me to leave the comfort of the horse. From what I recall, this is the first time in my entire life that I dreamt of a horse. This dream has put me in a place of seriously deep thought and I am still trying to determine why I had this dream. I have only had a few dreams in my life that have left me awestruck and this one is definitely at the top of the list…

  • Olamide // Sep 15, 2011 at 7:48 am

My dream started this way: I was in a swimming pool and I saw a man and I was saying to him that he can’t swim. Then he was going back to a place where his legs will reach down to the bottom. I later told him to get out of the pool in ofder not to drown, and their was this pavement in the pool. He passed through on the way. And I later found myself going out through the same pavement wearing a white gown and feeling like a movie star or something. But while walking the pavement I found out it was difficult for me to walk through, but I walk through using my strength.

Then I later found my self in front of my house with different horses, and later they went into my house. I just maintained a position so they wouldn’t hit me while running, and all of a sudden I entered the house and found out that one of the horses was tied and at the back of the door to the entrance of my house. I pushed the door to close it and the horse to tried to push the door, helping me with his leg tied with a rope.

I later found another horse tied in a place that was blocking the way I will use to go upstairs. And I later decided to pass the second stairs. When I was going toward the second stairs I saw a man coming, but he didn’t see me. I was trying to open the gate of the second stairs when the man saw me and told me to wait. But I was scared because it was night. I quickly opened the gate and entered and closed it again. I ran upstairs and closed the other door and woke up from my dream. Please can know what this dream means?

Have been married for 2 years with no issues yet. I had a dream were I was in my room. Then I started hearing noise in my passage. When I looked out, I saw a beautiful white horse being chased away by my neighbour. (My neighbour hasn’t given birth either - she’s a year & half married). As the horse was about to leave, I talked 2 her, (she was a female horse.) I asked her 2 come back, but she refused to come. Then I looked 4 a rope & tied it over the horse’s neck, and she came.

There was a large drum I was keeping in my passage. When I saw there was nowhere 2 keep the horse, I removed the drum & cleaned the place for her to sit. But as I removed the drum, I saw lots of scorpions. I swept them away. When the horse had finally sat down, I left her & went downstairs.

I was sitting with a friend when all of a sudden the horse came down where I was sitting with my friend, lay her head on my thighs & transformed into a baby girl. My friend ran away. Please can anyone translate this dream. I have had other dreams about kids, too.

I had a dreamed that I was standing in a field looking up at the moon when a friesian stallion came galloping at me and stopped right next to me. After hopping on his back with no reins or saddle, we rod off in to the woods and had fun playing near a waterfall. I can normally get the message behind my dreams but this time I need some help.

  • Imani // Jul 6, 2011 at 9:01 am

I dreamed I was at a horse stable for a trail ride and a the horses were laying down waiting for me to pick them. The lady asked me which one I wanted. I said, “The second one”. She told me to step on the first one just like a stepping stone and sit on the second one. I asked her just before I did it, “Won’t he be mad if I step on him?” She said “Yes, but he’ll sit and wait for you to get off. Just don’t stand on him too long or he’ll hurt you.”

So I stepped on him, a spotted white horse. She told me, “Just don’t be scared. You’ll be fine. Keep going. Don’t look back.” And then I jumped and landed neatly on the saddle of my chosen horse.

As soon as I got comfortable he lifted up his front legs and came to a full stand, which was incredible to feel. We took off slowly. I held the reins, but he instinctively knew what I wanted. It was perfect - just perfect. But what does it mean? It was funny cuz while all the other horses walked off, the one I stepped on stayed with his head on the sand/dirt just sleeping away.

I’m dreaming last night that I’m riding with a brown horse and racing with my loved one, but this is not a competition. It’s just like we’re playing a race at the sea side and I said to him, “How can I win? You’re riding a racing horse!”, and I think 2-3 times I changed my horse.p>

  • Stacey // May 29, 2011 at 8:27 pm

I’ve been having dream about riding horses for quite awhile now; they’re always just me galloping on a gorgeous horse through a beautiful field, and being in perfect harmony with the horse, who listened at my lightest touch. Note: I ride horses regularly, but I’m not THAT good, two years now I think. However; in the dreams, I am practically the best rider ever! My dad says it’s equivalent to his dream of flying, which is commonly known to represent achieving your goals and being very successful, but I don’t know for sure.

I was riding a white horse backwards in a wooden seat on the rear of the horse. Several people (some family) kept hopping on the horse with me and I was afraid we would be too heavy for the horse to carry and the horse would buck us off, but it never did. It continued picking people up. I tried looking behind me but all I could see is a shadow of the horse on a wall. I told an overweight male who was sitting on the horse behind me that it will get hurt carrying all of us and he told me after the horse is used up they kill them. I felt sad for the horse.

I was riding my white arabian mare with a friend on a light brown quarter horse we were riding in a forest with many trails so we cris-cross through the trail. Then there was a house with two other girls practicing barrel racing. Then we got lost and saw men surfing off of trees. But what bothers me about this dream is that my Mom sold my arab mare without my permission and I’ve been upset since and having dreams like this one. What does that mean?

  • Jenne // Mar 28, 2011 at 12:54 pm

Last night, I dreamed 2 separate dreams about horses, and I’ve never before dreamt of them before. The first dream had a larger light horse and a smaller light horse and the larger was a male. They were so gentle, so soft & patient, eating sugar from my hand, and I felt so relaxed, so calm, as if I hadn’t a care in the world, or anything to do or anyplace to go or be except right there. I was petting their noses and the wind was blowing, I could see their manes blowing. They were in a pasture with lots of high flowers & grass behind a dark brown old wooden fence. The second one was a different larger male horse in a different field, but I was just as relaxed & calm watching him graze in the pasture.

I have always had the same dream all of my life about a lot of angry horses cursing at me and trying to stomp me. In the dreams I’m always on a back street or a dirt country road walking all by myself, when out of nowhere. the horses spot me and then they start chasing me down. I always manage to escape in the dreams. For years I could never understand these same dreams. Now just last night, and for the past few days, I’ve been dreaming about nice horses that turn evil towards me and my daughters after we tried to feed them. They seem like they really wants to kill us in my dreams. Can someone please tell me what this and the rest of my dreams mean?

I dreamed I saw horse meat at a grocery store and it looked white like poultry, but it came in big size portions. I didn’t eat it. I was just amazed they were selling horse meat and that I was eventually going to have to buy some and eat it because beef was running out.

I dreamed of riding a fierce dark horse with a man sitting in front of me. The horse was really mad at me and he was jumping all around with anger. All I remember is clutching the man in front of me and I was scared to death of what would happen the next instant.

  • vanda // Feb 18, 2011 at 1:19 am

I dreamed of seeing a beautiful light brown horse running fast towards me. As I moved to the side, as soon as he approached me, he turned into a man my age. At first I was scared at how fast the horse was running, but then the fear went away as it became a man. I don’t remember what the man looked like exactly.

I dreamed a horse came up to me for a hug, and the people around me said that animals come to me. I gave it a hug and it’s head was rested against me for a while. Another darker horse was behind this horse also coming to me.

I see brown horses in my dream. They are passing through in front of me. and they are very huge, around about 20 to 30 feet. They see me and smile. Then they step inside their house.

I had a dream that I had caught a Wild Big Black Quarter Horse Stallion with halter and lead. I had intentions of taming him to be handled and ridden, but he kept getting loose through open gates that were supposed to be closed. He would run and I was never able to catch him. Only my friends could, and they would hand him to me and as I put him back in his stall he would run right over me and through the gate again. He did this about 4 times and then my dream changed to my friend and I were going to use him for breeding and tried to breed him to her mare and he acted like he didn’t know how to breed. Then it switched over to me being at school with my brother and we were looking for our bus to go home on. I felt lost so I was trying to follow my younger brother cause I knew he would find the bus. In my dream I was thinking about my black stallion as I was looking for my brother to find the bus. Then I saw my black stallion in a stall in the wall of my school at the bus ramp. As I was walking toward the black stallion I imagined me ridding him at a run, and then my dream faded away.

I dreamed that I was with a close friend of mine and his brother. In a second an angry horse with a man on it passed rushing by us, and the horse suddenly starts slamming the man around in front of us. People were running around and panicking and I asked someone why didn’t they shoot the horse, but nobody answered. Then we just continued walking to the way we were going.

I have just bought a new vehicle - a Kia Sedona. Before purchasing this vehicle I researched user reviews and am satisfied that I made a good purchase, but in the back of my mind I have had some doubts. I just dreamt that I went into the dealership, inside there was a pen and inside the pen was a black horse, it was not real big and since I am a big man I seemed to big to ride it.

The horse was full of energy and did not want anything to do with me. I caught it put a bridle on it and proceeded to ride it bare back. As I road out of the dealership I noticed the sales manager looking at me.

I rode out into an open field the more I road the more the horse fought me. He tried biting me but I had steel toed rubber boots on. He kept trying to bite me so I pulled back on the reigns to try and keep his head up.

Then the horse tried throwing me, I sensed this and grabbed his mane, he tried to run but I held him back with the reigns.

It was at this point I woke up. What does this all mean? This dream was very vivid and full of colours like watching a high def movie.

I had a dream that there were two horses , an all black one and one that kept switching from black to brown && I’m not sure if whether or not towards the end of my dream, when the brown horse became injured if it transformed into my brown dog which is one of the great Danes I have. there was another black horse trying to kill me I suppose && the black && brown horses kept saying come on sister ,, stay with us && I just kept running from the horse that was trying to get me && the black && brown horses just kept protecting me from the other black horse. The other black horse had white specks on him I believe but if I’m not mistaken , i think Zeus was riding the horse that was trying to get me. Weird. && on top of that,, my dream wasn’t like a whole dream ,, i kept waking up && falling back asleep to dream about the same thing. && the last part of my dream that I remember ,, the horses were starting to get tired && I had hit the brown horse thinking it was the other black horse trying to attack me && I immediately felt bad && tried to soothe him by rubbing his head but he wouldn’t get up to fight for me anymore ,, he just laid there && the black horse was in the corner being pushed in by the other black horse && I was crying out of fear && sadness && I remember running && then my dream faded out ,, && I couldn’t go back to sleep :/

I was standing in my house looking out of the window. There were three horses just outside in my garden trotting around in a circle. Two of them were spotted and the other one piebald. What does this mean?

  • Elmo // Nov 21, 2010 at 12:17 am

I wasn’t dreaming, I was actually driving as I had just gotten out of work. On my way home I nearly crashed into a pole because I actually had almost hit a black horse. I got out of the car and the horse in the middle of the street I even pet it’s face and then it ran away. The weird part is I live right by the city of Chicago and there are no horses in this town.

  • Chrissy // Nov 20, 2010 at 8:34 am

Last night, I had a strange dream after a pretty horrible night. It started off with myself and a few family members. We all found this really huge house and moved into it than I went in the back yard part and found a lot of things (a stable for horses, a house on my property, etc.) Well, when I was looking around I saw this horse and it was a really pretty horse but, it was beaten and not properly taken care of (although, I didn’t know that at the time when I first saw it) I walked up to the horse and it was like it knew I was friendly or something. It let me pet it and I told my friend to go get me a brush so that way I could brush it and take care of it. (It looked like it needed taking care of) But, none of my friends would. So, I walked back to the house and went to look for a brush but, couldn’t find one.

When I got back to the horse their were people there and the horse was shaking (I told myself something wasn’t right about this) So, I walked back up to the horse as if they weren’t there and started petting it again. The man behind me than asked what I thought I was doing so, I told him exactly what I was doing. He than told me he was the owner of this creature and to leave. Though I refused to leave the side of this horse. I started asking the man how much he wanted for the horse and he wouldn’t tell me, all that he would say was that it was his horse and that he was going to beat it. He then hit the horse in front of me and I yelled “Do not hit this poor innocent animal in front of me!” and he did it again so, I hit the dude.

The horse was then right by my side in an instant like he was going to save me or something. So, I grabbed on to the hors’s neck and he ran all the way until we were at my house. Though that same man was there before us so, I told the horse to stop and we went into the stables. And that is when I woke up. What does this mean??

I was holding and leading a horse with its bridle rope climbing a hill and declined on the other side only to find that there is a big river with clear water and there was a small stream infront of me that branched from the big river and the water was clear and running inside it, then the horse moved forward to drink from this stream while I was stil holding on the bridle rope.Around this place there was a very beatiful vegetation and undulating hills.Somehow it was like me and the horse were trapped in this area and Sundenly I woke up.

I have had several dreams where I am looking after my former boss’s horses (keeping in mind I have not worked there for over 10 yrs now). They range from ponies to grande prix horses. There are always new people in the dream telling me how to preform my job even though I have done it many times before. Any suggestions?

I had my first dream of a horse last night. I believe the horse was a female. She was very young. The woman that gave her to me was familiar but this morning I could not place her. The horse was so soft, beautiful and buttery in color. She had a mangy upper back which appeared to be sore and needed to be combed. I felt it was because she needed to be free. I took the harness off she pierced my eyes with love and tenderness. She ran fast to the next yard and bucked away turning almost grey in color. I jumped on my new found friend and we rode the neighborhood streets. As I returned the woman who gave her to me said she was not ready to be ridden. That she need to be trained to trust and love only me. I cared deeply for my horse I was overwhelmed by her love…later in my dream I named her butter. I combed her, loved. I actually wanted to sleep with her. I felt so happy in my dream I didn’t want to wake. Her eyes were full of love to me only, tenderness and trust. What does this mean?

I had a dream I was being followed by a beautiful chestnut horse that kept trying to rest it’s head on my shoulders. It was like I owned this horse and we had some deep connection somehow. The man that was selling it was asking too much money so I could not purchase this horse.

In my dream, I watched an unsaddled bay horse stroll its way down a street. I assumed it belonged to the mounted police but had gotten loose. Large antelopes were approaching in the distance, which according to this website represents a sense of freedom. While distracted by the antelope which I mistook for deer, the bay horse got close and bumped me from behind. It persistently bumped and nudged me until it was knocking me up into the air. From there, the horse started to buck. Then I finally realized it was trying to force me to mount, so I cooperated. As soon as I was on its back, it took off running. The night before this dream took place, I decided to give in to urges and pursue a desire that had been frustrating me for a long time. That night was a time I truly believed everything I wanted was in reach. Therefore, I consider the interpretation above to be accurate. But I hope that part that’s written about bucking doesn’t apply to me, though.

  • Lynette // Jan 21, 2010 at 9:04 am

I dreamed my daughter and i was laying on a hill that was grass covered, but the grass was finely trimmed and we were watching horses that were grazing down below. It was a beautful day, warm and sunny, comfortable. One of the horses, which was white, came to me and stood over me as if to give me its attention, started to lower its head to me, I thought it was trying to nudge my head so I lifted my left arm up as if to block it; so it opened its mouth and locked its mouth onto my forearm, I tried pulling away from it but it didn’t move. I looked up at my daughter and asked for help, but all she did was hold my hand. I wasn’t afraid of the horse, I just merely tried to block its head from nudging me.

In mine, I was riding a horse uphill through a stone village, we were moving fast but I felt I was too large for the horse, so I would try to lessen my weight. I kept having to slow him down. Then we stopped and he became a person I don’t know, and we rested on a bench to talk..and I woke.

I dreamt of a mother horse and her new born baby. The baby was just beginning to walk. Unfortunately this was all taking place in an area where everything was up hill. The mother was nudging the baby gently to get up. The baby did, then all of a sudden the mother very violently lifted the baby with her nose and threw it in the air and it rolled back down the hill. This is a recurring dream I have had for the last few weeks - at least 2-3 times a week. What does it mean? It happens to wake me at about the same time every time.

I was with a man walking a huge black stallion along a dirt road. There was no saddle, just a bridle. The next scene is the man, the horse and I are all in a bed. The black horse separates me from the man. What do you think?

In a recent dream, I was riding a horse being chased by several wolves. At first, there was only one wolf. Suddenly, more and more began to show up and I realized they were going to start thier pursuit. One of them actually nipped at my foot. My horse and I were able to jump over a fence into a corral of sorts, but then we were trapped. I remembered thinking that there was no way to escape, and hopefully they would just go away.

Dreamt I and a whole lot of people were chased by many dark beautiful coloured horses with huge men wearing masks. I and everyone was running for our lives for safety. I came to a beautiful Japanese sort of temple and god protection and shelter, where was made to wear their kimono. It was a tiring and exhausting dream.

  • Rebecca // May 7, 2009 at 3:41 pm

My dream started in a restaurant, as I was dining with a great mentor. After we finished eating, I realized the salad I ordered was at the next table, alone, and I was eating someone else’s food. I let it go, but ordered a Bailey’s to go. We got in the car to go home, taking some country back roads. A little while down, a black cow passed in front of us, and went underground to get back into his pasture, which was separated from the road by a fence. As we drove, we saw cows and horses in the pastures and then the road became the pasture and I was no longer in the car. I saw the beginnings of a forest and a trail through it, and started walking that direction when I was confronted by a grey zombie horse. I started to walk away, and it followed me. I picked up a walking stick and kept going, a little faster, and it pursued me a little faster. I looked at the stick I’d picked up and it was the skull and front bones and flesh of another horse. At that point I decided I’d better face up to the zombie horse that was chasing me, and then I woke up.

  • Clare // Mar 12, 2009 at 9:23 pm

I was reclining on a hill, watching a magnificent white stallion prancing and restlessly pacing. He found a somewhat smaller chestnut horse to mate with and did so, with amazing gusto. I was excited and amazed at the beauty of the sight.

It is rather obvious but any added interpretation would be most welcome.

I had a dream I was crawling up a steep hill, it was actually a road right by my house, but I was going up it with more ease than usual, and as I got to the top there was horses, running around, and they kept jumping over me. I would crouch down as I saw them running towards me, and one horse, she was light brown came and stopped behind me, and told me to get on her back because a police car was driving at me. She lowered her head so I could grab her neck and she lifted me onto her back and I was okay. Thats all I remember from my dream.

I dreamt that I looked out the back window of my house and saw an extremely large beautiful dark brown horse. At first, I was stunned by the big horse. Then I was worried the horse did not have enough room to run around in the yard. Later as I looked around the whole yard, I realized the horse had plenty of yard to run and roam. I was then content with the horse being in my yard.

I dreamt I was walking along a road and there were cars on one side and a horse and rider cantering round a paddock on the other side, but the paddock had no fences, and they were riding right next to a paddock with fences! The horse was a bit spooked by the cars, and cantered right past me, so close I felt a little gust as it passed!

I dreamed I was riding a spirited brown horse through the streets, yelling at people to move as I raced. I was in control..we came to an intersection with cars, and the horse became upset as we crossed..at the other side, it became a little violent and angry. I dismounted and tried to calm it..a police woman approached and asked what was going on, when I turned to look back, the horse had changed into a very tall, large white woman with black shoulder length wet hair..she was sobbing and frightened and ran to me for comfort. I let her cry on my shoulder and the police woman left. I do not recognize the horse-woman.

  • George // Jan 30, 2008 at 2:40 am
